Success Stories Vedant Scored 1450 in SAT, Inderjeet scored 8:00 bands in IELTS.

Vedant Madan: 1450 in SAT

Vedant is a class 11th student from DPS Dwarka. He started his preparations after completing his 9th exams. This strategy of starting early helped him to prepare thoroughly on each of the sections. Please join me in congratulating Vedhant for achieving this feat.

Ms. Inderjeet Scored 8 bands in her IELTS (General) test in her first attempt.
Reading: 8; Listening: 7.5, Writing: 7.5; Speaking: 7:0

Inderjeet, is a software professional. She came with a good command over English. She travels for around 3  - 4 hours everyday and so she hardly found any time during weekdays to prepare for the test. The smart strategy she adopted was that she used her commuting time to prepare for listening and speaking. A mobile phone with the recorded interviews was like a magic wand to her.

On weekends she used to attend sessions either online or face-to-face. She used to get all her queries resolved during the weekends, and also got a plan-of-action ready for the coming week.

She used to write essays and letters and mail them to me. She worked diligently on the feed-backs.

Thanks to her 'smart-work' she cleared the test with flying colors in just over a month's time of preparation.

Gurvinder Kaur scored 7.0 in IELTS

Gurvinder was scared of writing. She used to a lot of time in drafting an appropriate introduction of an essay. She worked to together and came out with a simple solution - an introduction of just three sentences for every type of essay.

Sentence 1: State the obvious
Sentence 2: State your opinion
Sentence 3: Invite for further discussion.

With a little bit of practice she mastered the skill of writing essays. Eventually, she scored 7+ bands in all the sections in IELTS.

Gurvinder had the knack of turning her difficulties into opportunities to discover innovative but simple solutions to seemingly complex problems. I learnt persistence and out-of-the-box-thinking from her.
