Parvinder the pinnacle of persistence!!

'The journey of life is not a straight line between two points, and probably that is the beauty of it.'  Actually, the journey is not at the start or at the end, it is in the way. That is what I learnt from Parvinder- Singh.

Parvinder was a software professional from Punjab. His strength was his 'never say die' attitude. What impressed me about him was his utter conviction in positive outcome. His mantra was simple - 'The game is not over, until I win or I die'. Stopping or giving up was not an option ever in his consideration. He took the IELTS test at least 10 times before he finally cleared the test. I haven't seen Edison, but I suppose he would not be much different from Parvinder.

Well to give you a little background, Parvinder was good at reading and listening, but he used to score less in writing or speaking - either one of them. Surprisingly, in a test where he used to score good in speaking, he used to flunk in writing, when when writing was up to the mark, he used to lose marks in speaking. For a normal mortal, it was natural to curse the test and take 'Plan b' - Not for Parvinder!

What actually impressed me was that he never complained or cribbed about the results. He always came up with a plan to work on. Unlike other participants who sometimes cast a doubt on the testing agencies, labeling them as 'nerds' or 'plain cheats', he always focused on what he lacked and how to overcome his own weaknesses. For how long could destiny stop him? He finally came out with flying colors in all the sections.

I salute his never say die attitude!!

:)
